Isaac Carl Jones Affectionately known as "Bear" or "Ike"
Isaac was born November 11, 1953 in Winter Park, Florida to Mr. Joe Jones and Mrs Selma Lias Jones.
At a very early age, he joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend W. W. Woods.
Isaac attended the Orange County Public Schools where he graduated from Winter Park High School in 1971. He continued his education at Seminole Junior College where he received his Associate of Arts degree in 1973 and his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida in 1976. Isaac established his career as a counselor in Orlando, Florida at the following agencies: Southwest Mental Health Center, Orlando General Hospital, Florida Hospital, Thee Door, and the Center For Drug Free Living. Beginning in 1992, during his employment at the Center for Drug Free Living, he assumed directorship of Orlando Fights Back, Community Based Prevention and code 32811 where he remained until his health declined.
Isaac was married to Mrs. Linda Jones in 1982. They led a lovely and devoted life. On Tuesday evening, May 20, 2003, at 10:59 p.m., God the Heavenly Father, visited the Jones' garden. He reached down and plucked another rose.
