Music: His Eye Is On the Sparrow by Civilla D. Martin, Charles H. Gabriel; sequenced by Mel Owens

October 10, 2004. Nu Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority rounded out it's Black Family Weekend by worshipping together at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Winter Park, Florida. Nu Iota Omega's health committee partnered with its Black Family committee to present information on Prostate and Colorectal Cancer to the congregation. Dr. Nycole White stressed that early detection is key. Tanya Davis Wilson shared her personal story and struggle with Colorectal Cancer and why she is a survivor. Associate Minister Bernard Morris also shared his personal story with Colorectal Cancer. The chapter provided information to the congregation regarding both diseases. Much thanks to the American Cancer Society, The Department of Health and Human Services and the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation for furnishing the brochures and fact sheets disseminated. Helpful links with more detail regarding these diseases are:
